The 2010 Eurovision Song Contest turned into an unforgettable event for winner Lena Meyer-Landrut. And she felt so much at home in the warm atmosphere that she decided to come back in 2011. Not for winning again, just for the sheer fun of it.
NDR has confirmed that the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest winner Lena will once again represent Germany next year, to defend her title.
"Haha, I do expect that I won't win, yes. I guess I can't win again. That's not the point. But I'm lucky not having to go through the Semi-Finals, so we'll see!"- Lena says.
Even if she is entering the contest for the great fun of it, she does admit to have a sense for competition.
So did Lys Assia, the winner of the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956, and Corry Brokken, who came back the year after to defend their title.
